Shackerstone Diesels is a collection of groups and individuals that own, maintain and operate heritage diesel traction at the Battlefield Line.

The Battlefield Line Railway is located in the small village of Shackerstone, Leicestershire. The line runs throught Market Bosworth, to Shenton, the site of the Bosworth Battlefield centre.

We have an ever growing collection, with a mix to suit most interests. We hold a diesel gala 2 times a year, as well as various other running days and theme days throughout the year.

We are always on the lookout for new members in Shackerstone Diesels, whether you want to work on the engines, help to get them ready for hauling trains, learn to secondman and drive them or simply help out at the gala’s, all help is always very welcome.
